HIDDEN WATER

...Five Minute Showers...Shutting the Tap off While Brushing Teeth...Energy Efficient Washers...Dryers...Toilets...Shower Heads...Gray Water Systems...All Wonderful Ways and Means to Conserve Water...

The Facts are that Almost Everything we eat, drink, wear and use on a Daily Basis are Created with Water.  I am Writing this as My Mom Cooks up some Factory Farmed Ground Beef making the Steroid, Anti-biotic, Adrenaline and Fear filled Meat into Patties.
My Mom would Not watch Fast Food Nation with Me.  She Said that was Gross How They Raised and Killed the Cows.  When I told her That is What Happens to the Cow that She Eats...She Responded by Saying That she LOVES her Ground Beef and Was NOT Giving it Up...Still Can Not Figure That One Out...And Refuses to Buy Local Beef, Chicken and Pork Because It Cuts Into her Computer Gaming and Television Time...Sounds Just Like a Teenager...
I Peeked at the Packaging...2 pounds of Ground Beef...Equals...3714 Gallons of Water...
In April of 2010...Most Likely in Honour of Earth Day...National Geographic...published a Special Issue Entitled...Water: Our Thirsty World...I Always knew that Water Nourished our Food and Beverage Supply...However...I was Unaware Complex Nature of Water Use...Here is the National Geographic Breakdown...

     1,857 Gallons = 1 Pound Beef          1,382 Gallons = 1 Pound Sausage
     756 Gallons = 1 Pound Pork             469 Gallons = 1 Pound Chicken
      589 Gallons = 1 Pound Processed Cheese
      371 Gallons = 1 Pound Fresh Cheese       634 Gallons = 1 Hamburger

     3,170 Gallons = 1 Pound Chocolate      119 Gallons = 1 Pound Potatoes
     108 Gallons = 1 Pound Corn                 216 Gallons = 1 Pound Soybeans
     449 Gallons = 1 Pound Rice                   18 Gallons = 1 Apple

     59 Gallons = 1 Cup Apple Juice               880 Gallons = 1 Cup Milk
     1,008 Gallons = 1 Gallon Wine                689 Gallons = 1 Gallon Beer
      880 Gallons = 1 Gallon Coffee                128 Gallons = 1 Gallon Tea

     2,900 Gallons = 1 Pair of Jeans                2,800 Gallons = 1 Cotton Bedsheet
      1321 Gallons = 500 Sheets Paper

And Here Is Why Meat Takes More Water...
According to National Geographic,  a human diet that consists of meat takes about 60% more water than a diet that is primarily vegetation.  So how much water does it take to raise one cow or steer....
808,400 Gallons for 18,700 Pounds of Pasture, Feed and Hay + 6,300 Gallons for Drinking + 1,900 Gallons for Cleaning Stables and Farm Yards = 816,600 Gallons used For the Life of the Cow or Steer....

The Entire Global Community is Not Facing a Water Crisis...We are In the Global Water Crisis...And to be Honest...I do Not Think that Humanity has Realized this Fact...Most are Living Their Lives in Denial...Wake Up...And Where Have All The Old Souls Gone???
